Big news at the Thompson house was the first swimming lesson for Hollis. To make a long story short......Hollis dominated the pool. We knew she loved her baths, but we didn't know if that would translate to the pool. Hollis's group ranged from 10 months to 3 years. So Hollis was the youngest one in the group by far (even though she handled herself better than most).
The lessons were pretty simple with getting accustomed to the water being the main goal. Although the most noteworthy event was Hollis going underwater a couple of times throughout the lesson.
Hollis was exhausted after the lesson so she took a two hour nap. What she didn't know is that we were on our way to Madison to see Mama J and Chief. Aunt Allison and cousins Vivian and Eleanor were also going to be there so we thought she would be surprised.
We were pleasantly surprised to find that Hollis is very entertained in the water. She was in her raft for two plus hours with no fussing. That makes Mom very happy because she is going to the pool at least a couple of times a week this summer. She had a great time playing her cousin Vivian in the pool and her cousin Eleanor when she got out of the pool.
